When To Book Your Microblading Appointment
Most beauty treatments give you instance results. Think for instance of having your nails done, having eyelash extensions, a lash lift or a simple brow wax & tint. This is where Microblading differs as the real results will become clear after some time.
It is therefore a good idea to plan out when it is the best time for you to schedule your Microblading appointment. I would allow a minimum of 3 months before a special event such as for instance getting married, going on holiday or simply if just want to have nice brows in time for your birthday or Christmas.
First of all, to complete a Microblading Treatment, you will have to have 3 appointments:
Consultation & Patch Test: Here we talk about the treatment in depth so you know exactly what to expect, both during the treatments and the results which can be gained. A patch test is carried out.
Microblading Treatment: This can take place minimum 24-48 hours after having the patch test to rule out any sensitivities as much as we can. We can not perform this treatment on sunburned skin and so I advise not to plan this straight after coming home from a Sun Holiday. During this appointment we will design your brows & finish the 1st stage of your Microblading treatment. Your new brows will be very dark to start with & you will go through a series of changes during the healing process which are shown in the image above.
Microblading Top Up: The Microblading would not be complete without the top up which is recommended between 4-8 weeks after the initial Microblading treatment. After the top up, the brows will have to heal again for a couple of weeks an it is at this stage that the final brows will shine through!
So as you can see, it will take approximately 2 to 2.5 months for the real results to show. It is also good to bear in mind that most Microblading Technicians do get booked up so prebooking is essential.
On top of the 3 appointments there is also the Aftercare to bear in mind:
After each treatment it is recommended to keep the brows dry for the first 7 days. Additionally it is recommended not to go in the sun for 30 days after as well as no swimming in the pool or sea. Avoid brow make up, facials, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, working out & sweating until the brows have healed over.
For most people this would mean that the Autumn & Winter months tend to be more favourable, however the most gorgeous brows can also be produced in the midst of Summer, as long as the aftercare is followed. In which case you better go and treat yourself to a new sun hat!
This also means that if you would like your perfect brows for Christmas, you best go and read a bit more on PhiBrows Microblading or alternatively, book your consultation appointment now.
Lots of Lashes,
Kris xoxo
